I am ALL about DIY anything and quick easy beauty DIYs are my favorite. Making your own face mask or scrubs is so simple and also a great way to ensure you know exactly what is in your product!
Today I’m sharing a sugar lip scrub that is super simple to whip up, and with things you likely have in your pantry. My skin tends to be more dry, especially my lips! I drink a load of water every day but they still get dull and dry. The sugar scrub is exfoliating and moisturizing so it’s perfect for winter.
While I love trolling insta for all the latest self care products, I am always on the hunt for something I can make at home. Today I was making cookies for a friends birthday and I grabbed the brown sugar and whipped up a quick lip scrub, seriously took three minutes to make.
So here it is, If you try it lemme know if you like it or any tweaks you would make.
Here is the recipe
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon honey
Mix these two together
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon of warm water
Mix it all together then apply to lips and scrub in a circular motion for 1-2 minutes!
Store in a container with a lid and use 2-3 times a week and follow up with your favorite lip moisturizer.
Not into the DIY? Beauty for Real has an all natural scrub on amazon that you can get HERE.
If you want the exfoliating face mask I featured on insta stories you can click HERE … it’s amaze balls.
The general rule is you need a moisturizer and an exfoliant, so you can sub shea butter or olive oil for the coconut oil and white sugar for the brown sugar! Just use whatever you have in the pantry.
